BUTTERFLY AND PEARLS CARD

Hello my crafty friends,

I have been seeing a lot of white on white cards lately and I have been wanting to try one.  So here is my take on white on white.

It an A2 size card in White Texture card stock.  I embossed the mat with the Darice Butterfly folder twice. One I cut out the Butterflies since I don't have a butterfly punch and glued them on each butterfly. I added the pearls and the ribbon and that was it.  Easy pease and very quick. I think it makes a beautiful wedding or shower card.

I am going to enter this card into the Sweet Stamps Challenge "Pearls"  HERE.  Come join in the fun.

WATERCOLOR SPRING CARD

Hi Everyone, welcome to my blog.

Hope everyone is getting ready for Spring now that the snow seems to have subsided.  Only a few more days and Spring will be here. Can't wait.

For the first time in my life I'm trying to learn how to sketch a picture.  I could paint, but for some reason I can't draw. I went on You Tube and put sketching in the search and found Lindsey the Frugal Crafter. She was doing a sketch from a picture and this was part of the picture. I decided to try it and I  kind of like it.  I got myself an Artist Pen and went to work. I think it came out pretty good for my first time.

After I sketched the picture on watercolor paper, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color it. Watercolor seems to be the rage now and I wanted to try it.  I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and some rhinestones. Added the sentiment and the card was done.

I am entering this card in the following Challenges:

Thanks for stoping by and leaving a comment. I really enjoy reading them.

Happy Spring!

BABY GIFT BAG AND CARD

Hello my crafty friends,

Hope everyone is having a great week.  The weather has been so so cold, can't wait for Spring to come. On the other hand I have been getting a lot of crafting done, and that's good.

My project is a Baby card and matching gift bag for a friend of mine's new grandaughter.  I really like how it turned out.  I saw something similar on pintest so I thought I would try my version of it. And it so happens Mary is having a challenge at Cardz TV for a Baby project so it worked out just right.

The card is an A2 size pink card base with a white mat and a second white mat that I ran through the Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder, (love this folder). I cut out a scallop oval and plain oval from Spellbinders dies and added pearls around it. The booties were cut from the Winter Frolic cartridge which are actually a Christmas stocking. I cut the tops shorter so it would look like a babies bootie. I edged the cuff with an EK Success punch and put diamond glitter on the cuff and toe and heels.  The label was cut from a Spellbinders die and the stamp Sweet Baby is a Fiskars stamp.  I also added some washi tape to the top and bottom of the mats.

Hope you like my project. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

LIFE'S A BEACH CARD

Hello my sweet crafty friends,

I am so ready for Summer as you can tell by my card, and so sick of all the snow we got lately and with the cold weather I don't think its leaving anytime soon.
My card today is for a challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge is to make a card using any charm in any of the cartridges.  I decided to use Life's A Beach cartridge.  Come join the fun at BBTB2,

My card measures 5"x5" White card base.
Blue Mat is 4.25"x4.25"
I cut a piece of craft paper 5" wide and 2.75" high and ripped the top to look like sand.  I inked the edges w/ Tea Dye Distress Ink
The Palm Trees on page 40 were cut at 4.75". I cut two different shades of green, and brushed some Wink of Stella on them to give some texture.
The stamp is from one of the Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month sets. The charms are on page 62 and 63. I cut them twice, once in craft paper and once in red and pink for the swimming trunks and bikini.

My project is a Baby card and matching gift bag for a friend of mine's new grandaughter.  I really like how it turned out.  I saw something similar on pintest so I thought I would try my version of it.
